album listens #95 - suicide - suicide

didn't get it until about halfway through and still not 100% sure i do. not one i'd listen to often but i respect what suicide did on this album. it's super basic and it's the soundscapes that really create the character of it. cool af

FAVOURITE SONG: Frankie Teardrop

album listens #94 - walls and bridges - john lennon

extremely uninteresting and borderline offensive in how much it sucks. seems like he's doing a callback to the beatles, remembering all the glory days by doing them ten times worse. a few redeeming moments but barely worth listening to

FAVOURITE SONG: What You Got, Steel and Glass

album listens #93 - masterpiece - big thief

perfect in every way. have such a love for guitar tones like this and its recorded and produced just perfectly. greatest band ever i love everything they do, songs are gut wrenchingly beautiful and i love the loud style of this. as good as capacity and not far behind dragon new warm mountain. incredible wowwowowowow

FAVOURITE SONG: Real Love

RATING: 10/10

album listens #92 - two star & the dream police - mk.gee

FAVOURITE SONG: DNM

RATING: 4/10

album (ep) listens #91 - drop 7 - little simz

had this on a few weeks ago. remember enjoying it and thinking it should've been longer but not much more about it

FAVOURITE SONG: Mood Swings

RATING: prob like a 6

album listens #90 - i lay down my life for you - jpegmafia

obviously peggy is still the greatest producer of all time. infinitely interesting and experimental. nothing more i can say about how great he is that hasn't already been said so just LISTEN TO THIS.

FAVOURITE SONG: JPEGULTRA! (feat. Denzel Curry), either on or off the drugs, SIN MIEDO, i scream this before i interact with anyone

RATING: 8 or 9/10

album listens #89 - charm - clairo

would describe charm as 'post bedroom pop', it has the same twee kind of intimate feels but the production is so much more interesting and shiny on this one. listening to this album while on the tram to work, watching as the windows in front of me stayed still and the buildings flew by in the background which is probably the best way to experience this album.

FAVOURITE SONG: Thank You, Nomad, Terrapin, Second Nature

RATING: 7/10
